Why I keep my blog password a secret from my daughter

January 8, 2009

A few weeks ago, I put up a post that Reed helped with.

Today is Tessa’s turn.

She and I have an ongoing disagreement about brothers.

Not hers, and not mine (I have none), but about these brothers (I picked a short song, and you don’t have to listen to it all)

versus these brothers.

Maybe I shouldn’t publicly admit that I like the BeeGees, but in any case, I totally win this argument. BeeGees beat Jonas brothers.* Don’t you agree?

* At least until Tessa has her own blog.

If you liked this post, why not subscribe via RSS, via e-mail or follow me on Twitter?

You totally win! But does Tessa know one of the Bee Gees is dead? You could lose points int he argument for that.

@Flicka: I never had that lovin’ feeling.@Catherine: For the longest time I thought that song was called, “Four-Letter Woman.” I couldn’t imagine why they would sing about that!@Peeveme: you’ll have some other Disney-factured star/group to deal with by then.@Andy: Amen, sister.@Cassandra: LOL!@LoriBeth: did you see Donny awhile back in <>Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat<>? Hubba hubba.@Pam: Another great set of brothers.@FarmWife: good question. Who WAS the bubble-gum pop star back in the 70s/80s? Debbie Gibson?@Kristin: you got my back, girlfriend.

Oh, oh, oh, the Osmonds were my first concert! The Queen Mother took me to see them when I was about seven. Actually we went to see Donnie & Marie, but their brothers were better than they were.I might have to argue New Kids on the Block against the Jonas Brothers, but then who do you argue against Miley Cyrus? Tiffany?

Well, obviously, I’m a BeeGees fan from way back. : ) But I recently saw the Jonas Brothers on TV & they really weren’t bad. The hysteria reminded me of some other brothers from my time (i.e., the Osmonds). ; )

The BeeGees obviously win, but I have to concede the Cute in a Prepubescent Nonthreatening Way to the Jonah Bros. The BeeGees have obviously gone through puberty, voices notwithstanding.I once had a heated debate with my father about Barbra Streisand vs. Debbie Gibson. Yeah, you see, little kids are short-sighted idiots.

I don’t think the Jonas bros are cute. I don’t get it. But then again I’m probably too old. I really hope the Jonas Bros break up before my 2 year old gets to that age. Although there will probably be someone else. I like the Bee Gees too but I would not say I’m a fan.

I’ve had no reason to get to know those Jonas Brothers, though they are cuties. I like the Bee Gees, except for “More Than a Woman.” Hate, hate, hate that song. What exactly is more than a woman? A man? bah!

HAHAHAHAHA! Ooohh, Lori. And this is why I love you.I am caught between two generations here, so I can appreciate both. Before I scrolled down, I thought the second video was going to be the Righteous Brothers. :-) xoxoFlicka

Josh and I were talking recently how we didn’t even know a Jonas Brothers song despite knowing who they were due to People magazine. But the BeeGees, the BeeGees have my heart. They were our soundtrack for I-95.
